{"id":3243,"date":"2026-10-06T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lafagianata.it\/en\/eleonora-camilla-gasparrini-wins-womens-tre-valli-varesine-in-small-group-sprint\/"},"modified":"2026-10-17T01:11:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T23:11:07","slug":"eleonora-camilla-gasparrini-wins-womens-tre-valli-varesine-in-small-group-sprint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lafagianata.it\/en\/eleonora-camilla-gasparrini-wins-womens-tre-valli-varesine-in-small-group-sprint\/","title":{"rendered":"Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini wins women&#8217;s Tre Valli Varesine in small-group sprint"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini won the women&#8217;s Tre Valli Varesine in Varese on Tuesday 6 October, in the sprint of a group of thirteen: Sarah van Dam second, Noemi R\u00fcegg third. 133.9 km from Busto Arsizio in 3h36\u201937\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The race<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After about 40 km on the road from Busto Arsizio, the race did six laps of a 16 km circuit in Varese, with the Montello and the Ronchi on every lap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An early break, with Zanetti, Palm and Hashimi, was caught 31 km from the finish. From the small group that moved afterwards, Swinkels and Noskov\u00e1 went clear, with a maximum lead of just over half a minute: they were caught in the finale, less than a kilometre from the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Silvia Persico led out the sprint, and Gasparrini won it. UAE, her team, raced in mourning for masseur David Facciano, who died the previous Sunday: Gasparrini dedicated the win to him. \u201cI\u2019m really happy. I think we also played it very well as a team,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elisa Longo Borghini, who won it in 2025, and Demi Vollering were missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is Gasparrini\u2019s first win of the season. At the Tre Valli she had already been seventh in 2021 and fourth in 2024 and 2025: last year R\u00fcegg beat her in the photo finish for third place.
