What this calendar covers
The races in the top levels of the UCI track calendar: the World Championships (CM), the continental championships (CC), the World Cup rounds (CDM), the multi-sport games (JR), such as the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games, and the class 1 meetings (CL1), such as the Six Days. In Italy, the class 2 meetings (CL2) and the Italian championships (CN) too. The other class 2 and 3 meetings, the other countries’ national championships, the Masters World Championships and junior-only and under-23-only events are left out.
A track meeting holds many races, one per event, and the codes next to its name say which: SP is the sprint, TS the team sprint, KE the keirin, TP the team pursuit, OM the omnium, MA the madison, KT the time trial (the kilo; 500 metres for women), IP the individual pursuit, PR the points race, SH the scratch race, EL the elimination race. The winners, elite men and women, are event by event: the pair in the madison, the nation in the team events (the riders at the Italian championships).
The season is the calendar year. Dates, venues and classes come from the official UCI calendar; the winners from the official UCI results, as soon as the UCI publishes them.
